Description

Hello, here I am with my latest and first picture on this platform. Very thrilling, I must say.

I tried to display the elephant trunk in a conventional and harmonic SHO set with only a few stars.
It took me three nights in August 22 at Stumpertenrod in the beautiful small mountain area of the Vogelsberg and from my garden in Wisselsheim, Bad Nauheim. I want  to be flexible and mobile with my equipment, as I love to take the frames from different sites. With my 10" Lacerta Fotonewton, a Moravian G3-8300 mono camera and a Losmandy G11, I found a good compromise between budget, quality and mobility.

Now, into this picture went 3x38x5 minutes of exposure in S, H and O at 6 nm bandwidth. The focal length of my set up is originally 1m, but I used a 0.75x coma corrector reducer. All the image processing I have done with the incredible PixInsight. It took me quite some trying and joyous detours. And that's it. Hope, someone likes it.
